Ben began his career in financial planning in 2009 when he discovered he wanted to combine his passions of making the world a better place while simultaneously building an unlimited business.
Ben graduated with a degree in Entrepreneurship from the Robert H, Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He also maintains securities Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam) , Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam) , Series 7 (General Securities Representative) registrations, his Life, Accident & Health Insurance license, Property and Casualty Insurance license, Real Estate License, and he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Ben was named a Five Star Wealth Manager by Baltimore Magazine in 2018 and 2019. He specializes in working with young professionals, entrepreneurs, and people approaching retirement and retirees.
Ben is an ambitious guy, a great listener, and has an excellent work ethic with high integrity. Clients give high marks to Ben's communication style; in contrast to many other practitioners, he explains technical planning concepts in terms that clients can understand. He also is especially thorough and follows through with what he says he's going to do.
Ben lives in Fulton, MD and loves to spend time with his wife Amanda, their son Reed, and their dog Ray Ray. In his spare time, Ben also enjoys playing sports and exercising, reading, trying new restaurants, traveling internationally, and the Baltimore Ravens. Ben is also President of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Maryland, the largest membership organization for personal financial planning experts in the U.S. and is a founding Board Member of the Terp Entrepreneur Network.
